As are a lot of other things, the process of contacting tenants for overdue rent is automated. We have a notification system that can be adjusted in the admin portal. So, how can you choose your notification settings for the tenant?’
As the picture suggests, clicking on the gear symbol from the top of any page drops down a list of settings. From all these options, click on the very last one, ‘Notification Settings’.
We have recently updated our system so that notifications can be sent automatically for overdue invoices, both to property managers and to tenants.
As can be seen, tenants with overdue invoices (rental/non-rental) will receive email notifications after one day of the invoice due date. It is completely up to you, if you choose to turn this automation on or off.
However, tenant emails must exist in the system for this to happen.
