What if I finally offer a parking space for my tenants? In the portal, there is an option to add or remove parking information. Here you can also automatically generate invoices for parking.
Follow the steps below to add or remove tenant parking information:
- Go to Tenant Management > Tenant.
- Choose the tenant to that you want to add parking info > click View Details.
- On the Tenant information, below Unit number > click the Car icon.
- Enter the Parking Amount (The amount provided here will be considered as a separate charge for parking (not included in rent). Separate invoices will be generated based on this amount.)
- Enter the Parking Start Date (New parking invoices will be generated after the current date which is greater than or equal to ‘Parking Start Date’. Parking invoices will be generated on the same date as the rental invoices. If you need to generate the parking invoices from past dates, you must generate the invoices manually. Any future invoices will be generated by the system (when the auto-generate rental invoice is ON).
- Tick Auto-generate parking invoice (if you want to auto-generate parking invoice)
- Once done, click ‘Update.’
- To remove parking,
- Go to Tenant Management > Tenant.
- Update: There is now an option to have the RENTAL INVOICE TO HAVE A SEPARATE PARKING LINE ITEM
- Click the Car icon to access the pop-up> tick the Parking amount included in rent amount box.
- And the Exclude separate line item for ‘Parking’ in the rental invoice box will show; make sure to tick the box as well (if needed)
- By default, the system includes separate line items for base rent and parking. If you select this option (exclude parking line item), the rental invoice will have one line item with the ‘Lawful Rent’ amount.
- Once done, click ‘Update.’
