There would be times when you would need to require deposits for a property. Here’s how you can add that to the system.
Note: Tenant CANNOT pay any deposit online. During the lease creation, the system will ask if the tenant will pay any deposit. If YES, you can put the amount. You can leave the date field blank if you do not have the deposit on hand. The good thing is you can update or add deposit information from the tenant detail page anytime.
At this point, there is no option to edit the deposit that you’ve added. We suggest to DELETE the Deposit and logging it again.
Follow the steps below to add Security/Rental, Key and Pet Deposits:
- Go to Tenant Management > Tenant
- Choose the tenant that you want to edit or add deposit payments.
- Go to the Deposit section > click the + button
- Enter the Deposit Amount, Deposit Date, Payment Method (Optional), Deposit Account, Notes/Memo (Optional)
- Click ‘Add Transaction’
