How to Implement Rent Increase for a Tenant

124 views 0 December 5, 2022 Updated on January 14, 2023 mippsupportadmin

When you need to increase the rent for your tenant, you must first consider the laws based on your province. Every province has different guidelines. After reviewing it, send the appropriate notices to your tenants. Once you have confirmed your eligibility for implementing a rent increase, here are the steps you should follow:

  1. Log into your Admin Portal.
  2. From the left navigation column, expand the ‘Tenant Management’ tab, and click on ‘Tenant.’
  3. Click on ‘Active Tenants’ on this page and find your tenant from this list.
  4. From the ‘Action’ column, click on the blue drop-down list and click ‘View Details.’
  5. On the new page, go to the right side and expand ‘Actions.’ This will bring up a host of options and ‘Rent History.’
  6. After bringing up the ‘Rent History,’ provide the details for your desired rent and ‘Update.’
