Mi Property Portal has a dynamic and easy-to-use payment processing system which allows property managers to collect rent and other payments online. They can also payout to property owners and vendors from the portal. Depending on the subscription, the tenant can pay using a credit card or bank account. However, owner or vendor payment is through Electronic File Transfer (EFT).

Aside from payment collection, there are a lot of other benefits of using our online payment system. For example, when a payment is successful:
- Necessary accounting transactions are automatically created and adjusted for you
- Invoices are closed automatically
- Payees are notified when payment is successful or failed
- Failure notification is sent to the property manager
- Rent receipts are generated and available in the tenant portal
- All reports, such as balance sheets, Income Statement, Gl Report, and so on, are updated in real-time
Collecting payment is a sensitive issue as it involves money. We take it very seriously and want to ensure that the proper procedures are followed. We are using Bambora Inc. as our payment processing vendor. To use our payment module, a merchant account needs to be set up with Bambora. Please follow the steps below to apply for a merchant account:
- Login to the portal as ‘Super Admin. ‘
- From the top left, click the setting icon(gear)
- Click ‘Online Payment Settings‘
- If you are not set up to receive online payment, you should see the red ‘Setup Merchant Account For Online Payment‘ Button.
- Click the button and follow the steps in the ‘How To Apply?‘ section.
How long does it take?
A: The process usually takes a maximum of 3 business days.
What happens next?
