At this moment, we DO NOT have the option to save the payment profile with two different bank info. However, what the tenant can do is make multiple payments for an invoice with two different bank information.
Note: They should not save the banking info in their payment profile.
Follow the steps below to add multiple bank accounts for tenants (tenant portal):
- Login to the Tenant Portal
- Go to the Payment section > Payment Profile & Invoices.
- Click Pay Now > Enter the Account Holder Name, Institution Number, Transit Number, Account Number, and Amount (enter the amount that you want to pay using the account that you’ve entered)
- Remember that additional charges may occur, if the payment fails due to invalid bank information (i.e. invalid account holder name or invalid transit number or invalid account number, etc.) or for a non-sufficient fund (NSF)
- Don’t tick the Save this bank account info to profile
- Click ‘Pay Now’
- Repeat the process for the second payment
For this approach there are some drawbacks:
1. Tenant will not be able to set up ‘Auto Pay’ (always need to pay manually)
2. Tenant needs to wait for one Bank Payment to succeed before making another bank payment (as we set the invoice to processing status when a bank payment is submitted)
