How do we handle cases where a tenant has a previous credit balance on their ledger, and the owner has already received the payment?
Steps:
- First, create a new “LIABILITY” account in the chart of accounts. Give it a clear name like “Past Tenant Credits” for easy identification.
- Then, go to the tenant’s profile and record the tenant credit. Instead of selecting a bank account, choose this newly created “LIABILITY” account.
